Character Complexity Examples

Level 1 - Starting at $100 USD

Simple Monsters / Creatures or Animals

Characters can consist of 1 - 3 prominent shapes or have distorted chibi-like proportions with minimal bending limbs.
Level 2 - Starting at $125 USD

Cartoony Proportions

Characters can consist of human or anthro features with exaggerated heads, hands, or feet proportions. (Human-ish characters will always start at Level 2)
Level 3 - Starting at $200 USD

Realistic -ish or Anime-ish Proportions or Highly Detailed

Any human (or anthro with human-like body) that requires proper proportions. Any Character that requires proper 4 legged proportions. Any Characters that are highly muscular, robotic, boney, or very detailed.

This calculator is for approximations and estimates only. Your quote may differ from what you see on this calculator because character and prop complexity is at the discretion of the artist. These character quotes apply to all commission types listed below. If calculating for multiple characters - Calculate your 1st character and commission type. Then calculate your next character with "Character Only" checked. Add the 2 values to get your approximate results.

Physical Add-Ons do not apply when factoring Commercial Rate Fees. Physical Add-Ons factor separate from Commercial Rate Fee. Example: $100 (Character / Total Cost) + $200 (Commercial Fee) = $300 + $25 (Add-on) = $325 (Grand Total)

Rush Fees DO NOT apply when factoring Commercial Rate Fees. Rush Fees factor separate from Commercial Rate Fee. Example: $100 (Character / Total Cost) + $200 (Commercial Fee) = $300 + $100 (Rush Fee) = $400 (Grand Total)

Rush Fees DO NOT apply when factoring Commercial Rate Fee [ but ] Rush Fees DO apply to Add-Ons. Example: $100 (Character / Total Cost) + $25 (Add-On) = $125 + $125 (Rush Fee) = $250 + $200 (Commercial Rate) = $450 (Grand Total)
